Next month, Hillel will be hosting a group of about 20-25 high school students from a synagogue in Westchester County, NY. They are coming to help with flood reconstruction work and to learn a little about life in the Midwest.
Do you know of any specific projects that these students can work on? They’ll be here Sunday-Tuesday, November 9-11. They hope to spend Sunday afternoon in Cedar Rapids and then Monday all day and Tuesday morning here in Iowa City. If we can put them to work for several hours Monday (preferably with the participation of some of our Hillel students), they should be able to accomplish a significant amount of work.
