Please review your adjusted gross income after damages to see if you might qualify for the Iowa Unmet Needs Grant. Eligible households may receive up to $2500.00 of financial assistance for the following categories: personal property, home repair, mental health services, food assistance, child care, and temporary housing assistance. Assistance will be through reimbursement or voucher. The process requires proof of payment with receipts or proof of loss/need, and complete documentation regarding duplication of services.
If you find that you qualify with the adjusted gross income, or if you have questions, please call the Crisis Center at 351-2726 and ask to speak with one of the flood advocates. We here at the Crisis Center want to make sure that all who are eligible can claim some portion of this grant.
I hope we can help with your recovery in this small way.
Sincerely,
Diane Yagla
